SENSEI (Integrating the Physical with the Digital World of the Network of the Future) is an Integrated Project in the EU's Seventh Framework Programme , in the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). Thematic Priority of Challenge 1: Pervasive and Trusted Network and Service Infrastructures: ICT-2007.1.1: The Network of the Future.
The SENSEI project (Contract no. 215923) started on 1st January 2008, and finished on 31st December 2010. 19 partners   from 11 European countries participated in the project.

Sensei in the ICT 2010
SENSEI was represented in the ICT 2010 event in Brussels. The project was part of the stand of the Internet of Things Architecture & The IoT Innitiative (Zone E: Information Booths. Stand number: R2-04). We provided an overview of the pan-european testbed we worked on.

Sensei in the Florence ICT Mobile Summit
SENSEI was in the ICT Mobile Summit, in Florence. The project even organized a pre-conference workshop, jointly with C-CAST,and PERSIST, FP7 projects:

Sensei in the News

"... The Commission is already funding research making the internet itself smarter, with €400 million invested in more than 90 European projects under its ICT research programme , and another €200 million a year to be invested from 2011-2013 research budgets. For instance, the SENSEI project works to connect the real and digital worlds creating "smart" places everywhere, like sending car-poolers a text message when there is a bus near that could get them to their destination quicker. ..."

Sensei Architecture Whitepaper

SENSEI has published a white paper with the title “A reference architecture to link the physical and the digital world in the network of the future”. The white paper describes the SENSEI architecture, information model and key features and benefits of the SENSEI system which provides the bridge between the physical and the digital world.
